Facebook Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg broke his silence Wednesday with a Facebook post and series of media interviews addressing the recent Cambridge Analytica revelations. In an interview with CNN, Zuckerberg said he would consider testifying before Congress if necessary and that the company is open to being regulated. "I actually think the question is more," he said, "what is the right regulation rather than 'Yes or no, should it be regulated?'" Zuckerberg also said the company will investigate all apps that had access to large amounts of data prior to platform changes in 2014, restrict developers' data access "to prevent other kinds of abuse," and offer a tool to help users revoke app access. He also said the company will notify users if their data was affected. Meanwhile, the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority has informed Facebook it has opened an investigation into the company's data-sharing activities.
