The Hill reports Zoom announced it plans to provide end-to-end encryption for all users beginning in July. The teleconference platform originally planned to limit encryption to paid accounts. Building off encryption capabilities launched in April, Zoom's new practices will allow meeting hosts and account administrators to dictate encryption preferences. Zoom CEO Eric Yuan said the new standard will "balance the legitimate right of all users to privacy and the safety of users on our platform."
