Zoom CEO Eric Yuan raised privacy concerns after revealing the platform’s plans to exclude free calls from end-to-end encryption leaves open the possibility of working with law enforcement, The Guardian reports. Yuan said free accounts will be excluded “because we also want to work together with [the] FBI, with local law enforcement in case some people use Zoom for a bad purpose.” Basic security, said Fight for the Future Deputy Director Evan Greer, “shouldn’t be a premium feature.”
