  • A Yuma, Arizona, hospital issued breach notification letters to 700,000 patients, The Record reports. Yuma Regional Medical Center was reportedly targeted with a ransomware attack in April, during which a “subset” of files was taken. The files included Social Security numbers and health insurance information.  
  • Nonprofit health care provider Kaiser Permanente announced a data breach affecting 70,000 patients, TechCrunch reports. An unauthorized individual reportedly gained access to an employee's emails at the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington that contained protected health information.
