In an op-ed for the San Francisco Chronicle, former U.S. presidential candidate Andrew Yang explains his support for the California Privacy Rights Act ballot initiative. Yang, who chairs the advisory board for the Californians for Consumer Privacy's "Yes on Prop. 24" campaign, wrote that "other proposals simply do not match the strength and thoughtfulness" of the CPRA, which he believes "will provide even greater data control and privacy protection to Californians" than the California Consumer Privacy Act.
