A New Jersey federal judge threw out a Wyndham Worldwide Corp. shareholder’s derivative action over a series of security breaches, “finding no evidence that Wyndham’s Kirkland & Ellis LLP attorneys had a conflict of interest when they advised it to reject shareholder demands,” Law360 reports. U.S. District Court Judge Stanley R. Chesler dismissed the case after finding no proof Wyndham’s board refused to investigate and remedy the chain’s security protocols. Meanwhile, three Atlanta, GA, judges have recused themselves from hearing lawsuits related to the Home Depot breach. They are not required to publicly disclose their reasons, the report states.
