The Article 29 Working Party has released details of its October plenary meetings, which examined the implementation of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. According to a news release, the WP29 adopted a final version of data protection impact assessment guidelines, as well as guidelines of data breach notifications and profiling. Individual WP29 subgroups "provided a state of play of its work on the 2017 WP29 priorities on the GDPR." The release also notes discussions about certification are continuing and will be proposed for adoption at the next plenary meeting in February. The group also worked on the structure of the European Data Protection Board. Finally, representatives of the WP29 Review Team, who were part of the Joint Review of Privacy Shield, reported their findings, and the WP29 will now analyze them.
