Some businesses are hesitant to follow the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and may maintain their standard contractual clauses to transfer data between jurisdictions, The Wall Street Journal reports. The companies reluctant to sign onto the framework are waiting to see if the DPF is challenged in EU courts. Previously, more than 5,000 companies transferred data under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield agreement, whereas approximately 2,500 companies are utilizing the DPF.
