NextGov reports the Biden administration plans to file a request for information on privacy-enhancing technologies to support the development of a privacy-focused data-sharing strategy among U.S. agencies. The Office of Science and Technology Policy explained its intentions to work toward "responsibly harnessing privacy-preserving data sharing and analytics to benefit individuals and society." The OSTP also indicated the proposed sharing may require "research investments to training and education initiatives, to the development of standards, policy and regulations."
