The White House has said a privacy lawsuit against its attempt to investigate voter fraud is hampering its investigation, UPI reports. Earlier this week, the Electronic Privacy Information Center sued the Trump administration, arguing that voter data is private and that the government had yet to conduct a privacy impact assessment. The Department of Justice said, "EPIC seeks to enjoin these first steps, which will prevent the commission from even beginning its work." EPIC's Marc Rotenberg said, "The aim is to block the ability of the commission to seek the sensitive voter data." The Hill reports the commission may have violated the Paperwork Reduction Act when it did not submit the request through the Office of Management and Budget's Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.
