Turkey's government is dropping WhatsApp following a new policy that will allow it to share data with Facebook, its parent company, Bloomberg reports. Groups will be moved to BiP, an encrypted messaging application. In Hong Kong, Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data Ada Chung urged the messaging service to postpone the Feb. 8 deadline for users to agree to the new policy, which is mandatory to continue the use of the platform, as well as explain how the data would be used.
