It has been nearly a decade since former European Commission Vice President Neelie Kroes pitched plans for an EU Code of Conduct for cloud services. On May 19, the European Data Protection Board filed a favorable opinion on the code, paving the way for the Belgian Data Protection Authority, the lead body behind the initiative, to issue formal approval.
