A judge in Washington state's King County Superior Court rejected a motion from Google to dismiss a lawsuit accusing the company of secretly tracking user location data. Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson brought the lawsuit against Google in January for allegedly deceiving customers into thinking they had control over how their location data is collected and used by the company. The lawsuit accuses Google of several deceptive and unfair practices to obtain user consent to be tracked even if users disable location history.
