European Justice Commissioner Věra Jourová has warned the Trump administration once more that if the U.S. government cannot guarantee that Europeans' data will be protected in the U.S., the EU will pull out of the Privacy Shield, Handelsblatt Global reports. Jourová will meet with Trump officials this week in Washington, including Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross. "She said Brussels must remain vigilant because the Trump administration takes a completely different approach on some important issues," the report states. However, Jourová added that she was confident that European data coming into the U.S. "would enjoy privacy standards similar to those in Europe," the report adds.
