Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Edward Markey, D-Mass., have asked Zoom Founder and CEO Eric Yuan for more information on how the teleconference platform is “protecting the safety and privacy of students." Zoom was asked for details regarding data breaches, if student data was exposed and whether policies have changed to protect student data. Meanwhile, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington has rejected Amazon's motion for arbitration in a lawsuit related to Alexa child recordings.
