After a “clerical error” in Georgian Secretary of State Brian Kemp’s office allegedly made public the personal information of more than six million Georgian voters, two constituents are suing, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports. Kemp said, "Due to a clerical error where information was put in the wrong file, 12 recipients received a disc that contained personal identifying information that should not have been included,” an action that was a violation of his privacy protections and that when discovered, was resolved with “immediate corrective action, including contacting each recipient to retrieve the disc,” he added. However, the suit contends that Kemp had not notified any of the victims.
