Vimeo is asking an appellate court to force arbitration in a biometric privacy lawsuit filed against the video company by an Illinois resident, MediaPost reports. U.S. District Court Judge Matthew Kennelly ruled Bradley Acaley’s class-action lawsuit alleging Vimeo’s Magisto app violates Illinois' Biometric Information Privacy Act can move forward. Kennelly denied Vimeo’s request to send the case to arbitration. Vimeo initiated its appeal last Thursday.
