European Commission Executive Vice President Margrethe Vestager warned Apple about citing concerns about privacy and security to keep competitors off its application store, Reuters reports. While Vestager acknowledged privacy issues must be addressed, Apple cannot use them as "a shield against competition, because I think customers will not give up neither security nor privacy if they use another app store or if they sideload." Meanwhile, The Hill reports a group of U.S. lawmakers are urging the U.S. Federal Trade Commission to pursue its antitrust case against Facebook.
