European Commission Executive Vice President-Designate Margrethe Vestager gave the inaugural "Giovanni Buttarelli Memorial Lecture" Thursday at the IAPP Data Protection Congress in Brussels, Belgium. The lecture, announced by the IAPP in October to be an annual fixture at DPC, aims to reflect on the work of Buttarelli, the former European Data Protection Supervisor who died in August.
