Vice reports researchers from Imperial College London have devised new artificial intelligence software that helps users hide their emotions from other AI-based voice assistants. The technology filters emotional speech into "normal" speech to add a layer between a user and the device they're using. Lead researcher Ranya Aloufi said the new software may be one of the few forms of data protection there is against voice assistants' emotion sensors, which may "significantly compromise their privacy."
