According to a new study from TechRobot, the U.S. government requested more user data from technology companies than any other government in 2020 and received 76% of those requests. The U.S. issued 66,598 data requests to Apple, Facebook and Twitter in the first quarter of 2020, compared to the second-highest country, Germany, with 24,775 requests. Of the 66,598 data requests the U.S. government made, 61,528 were to Facebook.
