Members of the U.S. House Committee on Energy and Commerce sent a letter to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg requesting a briefing on allegations stemming from a consumer complaint filed with the Federal Trade Commission, CNET reports. The 43-page complaint, which raised concerns about the company’s privacy policies and practices, alleged that the company misled users to share personal health information in closed groups and points to a July 2018 data breach that allowed marketers and others to find names and information on members in closed groups. In a statement, a Facebook spokesperson said, "Facebook is not an anonymous platform; real-name identity is at the center of the experience and always has been."
