Members of the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence unveiled the Cyber Incident Notification Act, CNBC reports. The bill would require federal agencies, federal contractors and critical infrastructure companies to report cybersecurity incidents when identified. Notifications to the government are not currently required. The proposed law would also call on the Department of Homeland Security to anonymize personally identifiable information and would provide covered entities with limited immunity when they report breaches.
