The U.S. House of Representatives appears to be on a mission with the pace it is tackling proposed federal privacy legislation. The ball kept rolling June 23 as the House Committee on Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Consumer Protection and Commerce unanimously advanced a substitute bill for the American Data Privacy and Protection Act to a full committee markup. Changes were made prior to the markup and suggested changes were discussed during the session. IAPP Staff Writer Joe Duball has the details.
