FedScoop reports U.S. government entities want industries to develop new tools and technologies to address privacy issues hampering essential data sharing. White House Chief Technology Officer Lynne Parker said there is no "silver bullet" solution at this time, but industries could help create a "pathway forward" to addressing the issues and needs "more quickly and in the shorter term." Census Bureau Chief of DataWeb Systems Cavan Capps added that simple consent is less trustworthy than "more rigorous mathematical protections."
