Washington D.C. law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati hired Maneesha Mithal, who most recently led the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Division of Privacy and Identity Protection, Reuters reports. The law firm is best known for advising clients in the technology and life sciences sectors, and Mithal will join its privacy and cybersecurity practice. Mithal worked 20 years at the FTC, including 12 as associate director of the privacy division. She is among a growing list of FTC veterans joining law firms as the legal and regulatory landscape of the privacy world evolves.
