The Biden administration released the first U.S. artificial intelligence framework Oct. 4, Nextgov reports. Following the release, the heads of several federal agencies spoke on their plans to implement the national AI blueprint. Department of Education Secretary Miguel Cardona and Department of Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra said their top concerns were ensuring there are proper safeguards to prevent bias and discrimination in future government AI systems.
