IPG Mediabrands’ global media agency network UM appointed Arielle Garcia as its first chief privacy officer, The Associated Press reports. Garcia will lead UM’s privacy program and spearhead its Privacy Taskforce. UM U.S. Chief Digital and Global Brand Safety Officer Joshua Lowcock said the company is “doubling down” on how it can improve brand safety and privacy. Garcia will help to take “privacy and brand safety capabilities to the next level,” he said.
