U.K. Surveillance Camera Commissioner Tony Porter has released an online toolbox designed to help organizations comply with the surveillance code of practice. The toolbox is broken down into four parts. The buyers’ toolkit is aimed at small- and medium-sized businesses that plan on implementing surveillance cameras and need additional guidance, while the passport to compliance is suited for large public-space surveillance camera systems. The self-assessment tool aims to help organizations identify whether they are compliant with the code of practice, and the surveillance camera data protection impact assessment, which has been updated to take the EU General Data Protection Regulation into consideration.
