The U.K. Home Office is apologizing for a data breach that affected 240 EU citizens seeking settled status in the country prior to a Brexit deal, BBC reports. Citing an "administrative error," the office sent an email to applicants without utilizing the "blind CC" function, revealing the personal email addresses for everyone included. "As soon as the error was identified, we apologised personally to the 240 applicants affected and have improved our systems and procedures to stop this occurring again," a Home Office spokesperson said. The Home Office is also asking those affected people to delete the email that triggered the breach.
