A judgment by the district court of Amsterdam said Uber should reinstate five British drivers and one Dutch driver who were removed from its ride-sharing application due to decisions “based solely on automated processing, including profiling,” the Guardian reports. The drivers argued Uber’s technology wrongfully accused them of fraudulent activity. Uber said it was not aware of the case until last week, adding “the court handed down a default judgment in our absence, which was automatic and not considered.”
