The Khaleej Times reports United Arab Emirates Vice President and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum approved the Dubai International Financial Centre Data Protection Law No. 5 of 2020, which will take force July 1. The law comes with updated regulations and a three-month grace period for businesses to comply. "By setting out the regulation, DIFC also sets a clear requirement for all organisations to follow global best practice relating to data and privacy," DIFC Gov. Essa Kazim said.
