According to Husch Blackwell's "Byte Back," U.S. Sen. Richard Durbin, D-Ill., reintroduced the Clean Slate for Kids Online Act of 2021. The bill, co-sponsored by Sens. Edward Markey, D-Mass., Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., and Mazie Hirono, D-Hawaii, aims to amend the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and would give users the option to delete personal information collected by internet operators as a result of the person's internet activity prior to age 13. The bill was previously introduced in 2018 and 2019.
