Members of the U.S. House of Representatives have unveiled a bill to renew portions of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act before they expire March 15, The Wall Street Journal reports. The legislation was backed by Reps. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., and Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and was developed with Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif. The House is expected to vote on the measure by the end of the week. President Donald Trump told Republican lawmakers he would not sign an extension unless significant changes were made to FISA, according to sources close to the situation.
