In its efforts to have its privacy lawsuit dismissed, Turn has filed a new argument in a case it allegedly violated users’ privacy, MediaPost reports. In papers filed to U.S. District Court Judge Jeffrey White, the ad company argues internet patrons suing Turn did not suffer any concrete harm from the use of “zombie” cookies companies could recreate if users deleted them. “Turn will seek dismissal on grounds that plaintiffs expressly consented to receiving tailored advertising from Verizon’s partners and to their collection of personal information in support of that activity,” Turn said in the papers.
