TRUSTe recently announced it “has strengthened its commitment to privacy innovation and client support with the appointment of privacy expert Ray Everett, CIPP/US, as director of product for compliance solutions and Elizabeth Blass as vice president for client services.”

TRUSTe CEP Chris Babel noted, "Supporting our 5000-strong client base and helping them to address the rapidly evolving global data privacy challenges is our top priority. To do this we need to be continually innovating, monitoring and responding to the privacy landscape. Ray and Elizabeth bring significant skills and expertise to TRUSTe which will benefit our clients."

Everett, who was appointed as one of the first U.S. corporate privacy officers in 1999, was an original founding board member of the IAPP and, prior to joining TRUSTe, managed global advertising and search privacy issues for Yahoo and served as general manager for the privacy monitoring business unit at Keynote Systems. He is also the co-author of two books.

“Throughout my career, TRUSTe has always been at the forefront of privacy thought-leadership, and that makes it all the more exciting for me to join this team in building the next generation of compliance and risk management tools,” Everett said.

Blass, meanwhile, brings 15 years of customer care leadership experience to TRUSTe after previously serving as senior director of Co-Location Customer Service Operations at CME Group and regional service vice president at Verizon Business.
