Tricia Ralph has been named the new information and privacy commissioner of Nova Scotia, The Chronicle Herald reports. Ralph takes over from Catherine Tully, who retired in September after five years in the position. Ralph currently serves as legal counsel for the information and privacy commissioner of Nunavut and the Northwest Territories and will begin her tenure in Nova Scotia March 1. “I have a keen interest in privacy and access issues and I look forward to working with Nova Scotians and public bodies to ensure we protect the privacy of citizens while ensuring transparency in the government process,” Ralph said.
