A Toyota customer has filed a putative class action in California federal court “claiming Toyota gave his information to Sirius XM Holdings Inc., which made a number of unsolicited calls to his cell phone in violation to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act,” Law 360 reports. Brian Trenz alleges he and other customers “were victims of an information-sharing agreement” between Toyota and Sirius through which Toyota provides Sirius with customer data in exchange for free trials of Sirius radio in Toyota’s new and used vehicles, the report states.
