In a statement, Toyota Australia announced it has “been the victim of an attempted cyber attack,” Computerworld reports. The company went on to say that it does not believe any private employee or customer data has been compromised and added, “The threat is being managed by our IT department who is working closely with international cyber security experts to get systems up and running again.” Toyota’s announcement follows a recent data breach at Melbourne Heart Group at Cabrini Hospital that left the cardiology department “unable to access some patient files for more than three weeks.”
