The Scarborough Health Network in Toronto said its servers containing past and present personal patient details were accessed in a data breach, CBC News reports. The network’s information technology department first noticed “unusual activity” on the servers Jan. 25 and said in a statement, “the unauthorized actor was shut out of the system by February 1, 2022.” SHN said patients’ names, birthdates, addresses, phone numbers, insurance policy numbers, diagnosis information, and more may have been accessed.
