Apple CEO Tim Cook said Congress should pass a federal privacy law, The Verge reports. Cook said since tech companies have not properly addressed privacy concerns, lawmakers need to step in with some type of legislation. “I think we can all admit that when you’ve tried to do something and companies haven’t self policed, that it’s time to have rigorous regulation,” Cook said in an interview with ABC News. “I think we’ve passed that time.” Meanwhile, The Washington Post Editorial Board offers its viewpoint on what lawmakers on both sides of the aisle should do to pass a federal law.
