TikTok’s new Family Safety Mode gives parents more control over their children’s use of the video platform, The Hill reports. Available in the U.K. and soon to be rolled out elsewhere, the mode allows parents to restrict content and control messaging, as well as how long users spend on the app. Meanwhile, the recommended Florida Schools Safety Portal, which would give school threat assessment teams access to information about students who may pose a safety threat, is raising concerns over students’ privacy.
