The Washington Post reports TikTok executives will not testify at a hearing to be held Tuesday by the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary. The hearing aims to cover privacy and security concerns about China, including content moderation rules and what happens to citizens’ information. A source close to the matter confirmed TikTok will not attend the hearing organized by Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo. Previously, Sens. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and Tom Cotton, R-Ark., had asked U.S. intelligence officials to investigate TikTok to see whether the app poses national security concerns.
