Not everyone is on board with the Department of Health and Human Services’ new cybersecurity communications center, but it has drawn support from one IT think tank, which is hailing it as a “quantum leap forward” for cybersecurity efforts in health care, FierceHealthcare reports. James Scott, a senior fellow at the Institute for Critical Infrastructure Technology, has authored a report supporting the Healthcare Cybersecurity Communications Integration Center, which officially launched in June and provides “real leadership and powerful collaboration” for an industry where Scott said cybersecurity self-regulation has failed.
