  • Irish privacy-by-design technology company Ethyca secured $7.5 million in a new round of funding, the Irish Times reports. The company vowed to make open source privacy technology and tools, allowing their privacy tech to be freely available for coders to use. Ethyca also built developers tools to better manage sensitive data. "... What we are doing is upending an industry that is reliant on licensing," Chief Executive Cillian Kieran said of making Ethyca's tools widely available.
  • Startup Blotout announced $3 million in new funding to further develop its privacy-centric customer data platform, TechCrunch reports. Blotout's solution program works to collect consent at the point of data collection and identify compliance needs, building "consent and collection ... into your own infrastructure,” founder and CEO Mandar Shinde said.
