- The European Commission is set to unveil a proposal for a "digital green pass" March 17 for EU citizens to provide proof of vaccination, Reuters reports. The pass would allow citizens to display COVID-19 test results and information on those who have recovered from the virus, in addition to vaccination status.
- Italy’s data protection authority, the Garante, issued guidance on “vaccination passes,” saying they should not be used to enable access to certain services or locations, like airports or hotels, and the processing of data related to citizens’ vaccination status should be regulated by a national law.
