In an article for CMSWire, InterSystems Data Protection Officer Ken Mortensen, CIPP/G, CIPP/US, CIPM, PLS, writes on the importance of trust in the digital age. Pointing to a recent IBM study that found only 20 percent of U.S. consumers “completely trust” organizations when it comes to data protection and privacy, Mortensen says that for organizations, trust can be leveraged to both unlock the benefits of data analytics while also fostering strong consumer relations. He writes, “Brands need to ensure people know and, most importantly, understand, what is being collected, how is it being used, and what is shared and with whom.”
