In an article for ITProPortal, Veritas Technologies Public Sector Chief Technology Officer Jonathan Alboum makes the case for data ethics. Alboum turns to the Data Ethics Framework in the U.K. to show how ethics can be part of a larger digital strategy and used to set clear guidelines for acceptable use of data. Describing the tenets of a possible framework, Alboum lists out the ways in which ethics can find itself rooted in a data strategy and balanced with privacy. He adds that while the list provides a starting point, it “requires an ongoing, international conversation.”

    Very true article and important topic. It's not only about what you can do within the boundaries of the law, but also about what is the good thing to do. Not only now but also for the future as information is definately defined by its context.
