The Cabinet of Thailand signed a royal decree postponing the enforcement of the Personal Data Protection Act to May 31, 2022, the Bangkok Post reports. The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society requested a second delay of the law due to the effects of COVID-19 and further legislative work, with provisions for the creation of the Personal Data Protection Committee and a draft of subsidiary legislation related to enforcement still yet to be carried out.
