Ars Technica reports a Texas man is suing the Texas Rangers and U.S. Customs and Border Protection after finding a surveillance camera on his property. Ricardo Palacios discovered the camera on his ranch and subsequently removed it. After doing so, Palacios received calls from the Rangers and CBP demanding the camera back. The 74-year-old man responded by suing the two groups for violating his constitutional rights. "Our lawsuit is that we want a federal judge to tell the border patrol and the feds to not go on [Palacios'] property without permission or probable cause," Palacios' attorney, David Almaraz, said. "It's called the right to be left alone. That's what the Fourth Amendment is all about."
